Audrey M. Wilson

Audrey M. Wilson of Statesville died on May 4, 2016 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte.

She was born Sept. 13, 1961, to the late Mary S. and Benjamin F. Wilson. She graduated from Davie County High School in 1979, and was employed by Plastiflex Corp. for 11 years. She was forced to retire in September 2015 due to health issues. Although she didn’t have any children of her own, she was monumental in the care of her nieces and nephews, who loved her. She never met a stranger, and was able to bring joy and laughter to everyone with her comedic ability.

Survivors: 4 brothers, David “Treetop” Peck of Statesville, Ronald E. Wilson of Winston-Salem, Terence (Tonja) Wilson of Statesville, and Bryant (Johnsie) Wilson of Cooleemee; 2 sisters, Dora W. Hearn and Ameila F. Wilson, both of Statesville; 2 aunts, 2 uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Her funeral service was held Sunday, May 8 at 4 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home. The Rev. Rodney Barker officiated and the Rev. Tyrone Redmon delivered the eulogy. The family received friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
