Mrs. Betty (Dub) Beauchamp Potts, 87, formerly of NC 801 S., Advance, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Salemtowne Moravian Home.

She was born Sept. 10, 1928 in Davie County to the late Joel Edward and Neila Smith Beauchamp. Mrs. Potts was an active member of Advance United Methodist Church which was a big part of her life. She and her husband were supportive of any projects in the church. Mrs. Potts enjoyed traveling with her husband and flower gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Potts; and a sister, Nelda B. Sofley.

Survivors: several nieces and nephews; and many extended family members from the Potts family.

A funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 8 at Advance United Methodist Church with the Rev. Patrick Snow officiating. The body was placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends in the fellowship hall following the service.
