Virginia Louise Dobson Scott, 67, died on Monday, Feb. 22, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center.

She was born on March 19, 1948 in Yadkin County to the late Thomas and Annie Ruby Grinton Dobson.  Mrs. Scott retired as the graphic communication teacher for Forbush High School in Yadkin County.

Surviving: her husband, George Lemuel Scott Sr.; her daughter, Deidra Scott-Adams; her son, George Lemuel Scott Jr.; her granddaughter, Karis Adams; 2 sisters, Ila (Tommy) Hampton and Gwen (Tommy) Andrews; mother-in-law, Lillie Mae Scott; several nieces, nephews, in-laws, co-workers and friends.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home in Mocksville. The Rev. Coker Stewart will officiate and Dr. Kia Hood will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service.
