Mr. James Larry Burton, 78, of Advance died Monday, Feb. 15, 2016 at his home.

He was born March 16, 1937 in Forsyth County to Leroy and Gertrude Pegram Burton.

Surviving: his wife, Betty Burton; 4 sons, Jimmy, Kenny, David and Jeff; a daughter, Pam Holcomb; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Leroy Jr. and Wayne.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Dr. Chuck Baker officiating. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
