Faye Marjorie Dwiggins ‘Faye Belle’ Barney

Faye Marjorie Dwiggins “Faye Belle” Barney, 91, of Mocksville, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 at Bermuda Commons in Advance.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Davie County, born June 4, 1924, to the late Samuel Marlin Dwiggins and Eva Turner Seaford. She graduated from the public schools of Davie County and was a member of Hardison United Methodist Church. She was the widow of the late Fred Coleman Barney, to whom she was married for 57 years. She was a homemaker.
Survivors: a daughter, Martha B. Latham (Jimmy Spry) of Advance; a sister, Margaret Marie Dwiggins of Mocksville; 2 grandchildren, Shane Potts of Mocksville and Muff Haneline (Dana) of Harmony; 3 great-grandchildren, Coleman Haneline, Hunter Potts and Hayden Potts.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Paul Lester Dwiggins.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 4 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Davie Funeral Service Chapel. The celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5 at the funeral chapel with Pastor Darrell Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Hardison UMC Church Cemetery.
