Virginia Elizabeth “Lib” Cartner Campbell

Virginia Elizabeth Cartner Campbell of Harmony died Dec. 20, 2015 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 27, 1927 in Davie County, daughter of the late Jessie Lee Cartner and Lydia Godbey Cartner. She was a lifelong member of Salem United Methodist Church and the Salem United Methodist Women. She was a seamstress and worked at T&V Specialties and was a former member of the Harmony VF Dept. Auxiliary.
On Nov. 25, 1950, she married Glen Campbell who survives of the home.
She was also preceded by sons Glenn Perry Campbell and Richard Darnell Campbell, sisters Mae Troutman and Mary Blanche Morrison and brothers Jessie Lee Cartner Jr. and Claude Cartner
Survivors: son David Lee Campbell (Nancy), and daughter-in-law Shelia Campbell, all of Harmony; grandchildren Michele Shue (Todd), Nichole Lentz (Jason) Jeremiah Campbell and fiancé Heather Myers, Joanna Campbell; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Olivia and Vera Shue, Tanner Addison, Peyton Lentz and Morgen Campbell; step-grandchildren, Scott Millsaps, Lisa Lail; and step- great-grandchildren, Maysie Webb, Joshua and Sidney Lail.
The family received friends on Tuesday evening at Salem United Methodist Church, Mocksville. A service for the celebration of her life was held Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 10 a.m. at Salem. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
