Mary Jacqueline Johnson Hartley

Mary Jacqueline Johnson Hartley, 79, of Clemmons, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015 at the home of her son.

A private service will be held.

Mrs. Hartley was born Oct. 29, 1936 in Davidson County to Kimball W. Johnson and Ella Kate Jones Johnson. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church.  She was a home chef and creamed corn will never be the same at family meals.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Samuel F. Hartley, who died in 2004; a daughter, Cindy Louella Hartley; sons-in-law, Sam Hall and John Grose; and grandson, Justin Hartley.

Surviving: sons, Forrest W. Hartley (Tamra) of Greensboro and Patrick Carson Hartley (Janice) of Lexington; daughters, Candy Grose of Clemmons and Jackie Hall of Mocksville; grandchildren, Katie Brewer (Greg) of Advance, John-Michael Grose (Diana) of Gilbert, Ariz., Brandi Hartley of Greensboro, Evan Hall of Raleigh, Ryan Hartley (Katy) of Kerrville, Texas, and Noah Hartley (Tessa) of Richmond, Va.; great-grandchildren, John-Hartley Brewer, Tate Brewer, Avian Hartley, Dallion Flowers, Grant Hartley, Henry Boone Hartley; and her loving dog, Beeker.
