William Lee Wyatt

William Lee Wyatt, 72, formerly of Beckley, W.Va., died at his home in Mocksville on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015.

Born on April 25, 1943, in Slab Fork, W.Va., he was the son of the late William Wyatt and Thelma Sears Wyatt.  Mr. Wyatt was a former coal miner and worked as an auto mechanic. He had made his home in Mocksville since 1994.

Mr. Wyatt was preceded in death by: his wife, Patricia Wyatt; a brother, Roy Wyatt; and a sister, Janice Helton.

Survivors: his children, Kay Cowan of Arkansas, David Wyatt of Coal City, W.Va., Torlena Wyatt of Beckley, Priscilla Magana of Mocksville, and Julie Wyatt of Mocksville; a brother, James Wyatt of Glen Daniel, W.Va.; 6 sisters, Mary Hardin of Ecru, Miss., Nancy Combs of Coal City, Patty Nottingham of Mogadore, Ohio, Mabel Hoge of Sophia, W.Va., Wanda Nottingham of Canton, Ohio, and Shelby Wood of Ecru; 19 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were to be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18 at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel, 1901 S. Kanawha S., Beckley, with Pastor Ken Clark officiating. Burial was to follow at the Slab Fork Cemetery at Tams Mountain, W.Va. The family was to receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
