Mrs. Mellera “Sue” Winfree Nokovich, 79, of Mocksville died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015 at her home.

She was born June 23, 1936 in Mecklenburg County. Deceased are her parents, Morton and Elsie Whitt Winfree.

Surviving: her husband, Milton Nokovich; a son, Michael Nokovich and wife Sharon of Cornelius; 2 daughters, Debra Nokovich of Greensboro and Kim Nokovich Tilley and husband Anthony of Mocksville; and 4 grandchildren, Brittany, Michael, Austin and Shannon.

A memorial service was held 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Hoyt officiating.  The family received friends following the service.
