John James Pfenning

John James Pfenning, 89, of Beverly Hills, Fla., died on Monday, Oct. 26 after years of declining health.
He was born in New York on Oct. 27, 1925. He is one of nine children and has one surviving brother, Ron (Helen) Pfenning in Westbury, N.Y. He worked in retail management and held several jobs in security when he retired and relocated to Florida in 1992 to be closer to his sisters and brothers.
He is preceded by: his first wife Grace; first-born son, John; his second wife, Betty Pfenning; and daughter, Wendy Cason.
The family received friends at Heinz Funeral Home in Inverness, Fla. for a celebration of life with Hospice of Citrus County officiating on Monday, Nov. 2. A memorial service will be held at The Church at Camp Manna in Mocksville on Nov. 11 at 4 p.m. with Pastor Stan Riddle assisting the family.
Survivors: his 2 daughters, Jonni (Joe) Seal of Beverly Hills, Fla. and Marybeth Wiedel of Mocksville; 3 grandchildren, Nicholas (Brite) Helenek, Joey Seal and Collin Wiedel ; a great-grandchild, Cordelia Helenek; other family and friends.
