Cynthia Anne Eudy Allen, 59, of Salisbury died Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House after a prolonged illness.

She was born in Rowan County on July 7, 1956 to Jack Creswell Eudy and the late Mrs. Edith Mae Foster Eudy. She was a graduate of Davie County High School. She spent 28 years of her professional career employed by the state of North Carolina. She married Irvin Steven Allen on Oct. 26, 1991. They had one daughter, Meredith Suzanne Allen. She loved her family, singing in the choir, many friends and loved ones, NASCAR, Panthers football, and watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball on TV with her “sweet daddy,” Jack.

Survivors: her husband, Steve Allen and daughter, Meredith Allen of Salisbury; her father, Jack Eudy and stepmother Sue Eudy of Cooleemee; and brothers, Ron Eudy of Cooleemee and Dan Eudy of Hartford, Conn.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Eudy and her sister, Marsha Desorbo.

She will be cremated and her ashes kept at home. There will be no visitation, service or memorials.
