Eleanor Harrell Taylor

Eleanor Harrell Taylor, 90, of Edenton, died on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015 in Vidant Chowan Hospital surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Chowan County on Nov. 18, 1924 and was one of 12 children born to the late Webb W. and Mary Frances Perry Harrell. A homemaker, she had worked in years past in The Dollar Store and Cato’s, and for many years was a unit manager with Tupperware Home Parties. She was a faithful member of Rocky Hock Baptist Church and its Faye Ober Sunday School Class.
She was also preceded in death by both her husbands, Miles Everett Haste and Frank S. Taylor; her daughter, Judy Ann Haste Cain; her sisters, Eunice H. Bunch, Norma H. White, Mildred H. Spivey, Selma H. Rogerson, and Evelyn Harrell; and by her brothers, Louis Harrell Sr., Gilbert Harrell, Earl Harrell, Lonnie Harrell and Alma Harrell.
Surviving: 2 daughters, Carol Perry Haste Cozart and husband Bill of Mocksville and Shelia Kay Haste Schultheiss of Edenton; 3 grandchildren, Kenneth Miles White and wife Lois, Brian Christopher Sawyer, and Kathryn Cozart Hayes and husband Zack; 5 great-grandchildren, Kayla Miles White, Ryan Taylor White, Payton Kathryn Hayes, Cassidy Belle Hayes, and Addison Grace Hayes; a brother, the Rev. Ralph Harrell of Hillsborough; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. in Rocky Hock Baptist Church officiated by Dr. James Horton and the Rev. Ralph Harrell. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family Thursday from 7-8 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton.
