Hope Challenge Saturday near Cooleemee

Billy and Allie Riddle are moving their young family to Sudan, in Africa, and friends and neighbors are helping them with their mission.
On Saturday, May 16, the Hope Challenge will be held to raise money for Riddle’s mission, titled Hope Grows.
All events will be at Camp Manna, off Pine Ridge Road on Gibson Way near Cooleemee.
There will be a 5K race, a mile-long obstacle course and a tug-of-war competitions. There will be a smaller obstacle course for the children.
The 5K starts at 8 a.m. The other competitions start at 9:30. Arrive early to register.
Throughout the day, there will be games and activities for the young and old, as well as food including hamburgers, hotdogs, fries, onion rings and Cheerwine products.
The Brad Ratledge Band will provide music.
