Mr. Kenneth “Ken” Gray Sales

Mr. Kenneth “Ken” Gray Sales, 80, of Holly Lane, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
He was born August 7, 1934, in Davie County to the late Lonnie Floyd and Cosby Adeleine Copley Sales. Ken was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a graduate of Cooleemee High School, Class of 1953. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mocksville. Ken had been employed at Western-Electric, manager at Baker Furniture and later worked at Howard Realty. He had been involved in numerous civic organizations.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife to whom he married in 1966, Precyous Bost Sales; and siblings, Pauline Sales, Mildred Sales, Jack Sales, Lillian Chandler, Mary Walker, T. J. Sales, Nellie Webb and Floyd Sales.
Survivors include two sons, Kip Sales (Wendy) of Williamston and Kelly Sales (Katie) of Mocksville; a sister, Doris Sales Lakey of Mocksville; and five grandchildren, Hunter, Harrison, Hannah, Hayes and Aiden.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, April 3, at First United Methodist Church of Mocksville with Dr. Glenn L. Myers, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends at the Family Life Center following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Cooleemee Historical Assoc., River Park Project, P.O. Box 667, Cooleemee, NC 27014. Eaton Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Sales.
