Kenneth Gray ‘Ken’ Sales

Mr. Kenneth “Ken” Gray Sales, 80, of Holly Lane, Mocksville, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

He was born Aug. 7, 1934 in Davie County to the late Lonnie Floyd and Cosby Adeleine Copley Sales. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a graduate of Cooleemee High School, Class of 1953. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mocksville. He had been employed at Western-Electric, manager at Baker Furniture and at Howard Realty. He had been involved in numerous civic organizations.

He was preceded in death by his wife to whom he married in 1966, Precyous Bost Sales; and siblings, Pauline Sales, Mildred Sales, Jack Sales, Lillian Chandler, Mary Walker, T.J. Sales, Nellie Webb and Floyd Sales.

Survivors: 2 sons, Kip Sales (Wendy) of Williamston and Kelly Sales (Katie) of Mocksville; a sister, Doris Sales Lakey of Mocksville; and 5 grandchildren, Hunter, Harrison, Hannah, Hayes and Aiden.

A memorial service was conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, April 3,at First United Methodist Church of Mocksville with Dr. Glenn L. Myers Jr. officiating. The family received friends at the Family Life Center following the service.
