John Michael Alexander

John Michael Alexander, 31, of Mocksville, died Thursday, June 5, 2014 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Born Dec. 23, 1982 in Iredell County, he was the son of Louis Gene Alexander and Anita Holder Wright. He was employed with Bestco in Mooresville, and loved to hunt and fish. 

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Christine Holder, Thomas Monroe Holder and Arlene Ruth Alexander and 2 nieces, Summer Nicole Elias and Brittney Nicole Newton.

Survivors: his father, Louis Gene Alexander (Betty); mother, Anita Wright; brother, Phillip Lee Helms (Jenna); sisters, Crystal Dawn Albery (Wetzel Sr.), Virginia Alexander Newton (Terry) and Mendy Newton (Michael Houston); step-sisters, Angelia Alden, Debra Giordano, Elicia Wright and Frankie Satterfield; nieces and nephews, Tevin Newton, Kiera Newton, Rebecca Newton, Chole Brown, Dakotah Newton, Angel Albery, Bob Albery, Christina Stewart, Jeannie Stewart and Landon Roger Lee Helms; and his girlfriend, Angela Coley.

The family received friends Sunday, June 8 at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. The service honoring his life was held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 9 at Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Trent Patterson officiating. Burial followed at Mount Zion Community Cemetery in Cornelius.
