Bills – Weaver

HIGH POINT — Elizabeth Asbury Bills of Atlanta, Ga. and Andrew Wesley Weaver of Saint Simons Island, Ga., were united in marriage Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Dr. James Alexander Ward, Jr. officiated at the 5:30 p.m. ceremony. Music was provided by organist Franklin G. Pifferetti, Jr.; soloist Dr. Marc Foster; cellist Kay Fitzpatrick; violinists Amanda Matthews and Sarah Womack; and violist Angela Toney.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Andrew Bills of High Point. A 2007 graduate of High Point Central High School and a 2011 honors graduate of Hollins University in Roanoke, Va., the bride is employed by World 50, Inc. in Atlanta.
The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. John Wayne Weaver of High Point. A 2005 graduate of High Point Central High School and a 2009 graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Va., he is a professional golfer.
The bride was escorted by her father and was given in marriage by her parents. Mary Cullen Reese Bills of High Point served as her sister’s maid of honor, and Morgan Hunt Bills of Asheboro was her sister-in-law’s matron of honor. Bridesmaids were: Mary Mitchell Fuqua of New York, N.Y.; Karoline Mary LeFebre of Atlanta; Elizabeth Kathleen Morgan of High Point; the bride’s cousin Marigrace Bills Ostmann of New Bern; Taylor Claire Sprague of Greensboro; and Sarah Catherine Welch of Atlanta.
The bridegroom chose his father to serve as best man. Groomsmen were: Robert Thompson Bennett of Augusta, Ga.; the bride’s brother Andrew Carter Bills of Asheboro; William Garrison Duckett of New York; the bridegroom’s cousin David Arthur Kennedy of Charlotte; William Carlson Oldham of Charlotte; Phillip Anderson Schlimmer of High Point; Richard Darby Todd of Homewood, Ala.; and Ryan Payne Wilson of Winston-Salem.
Lucy Elizabeth Zalzneck of Pinehurst attended the bride as flower girl. Hardin Moore Councill of High Point served as crucifer, and Jane Chandler Nunn and Ethan Price Barbour, both of High Point, were acolytes for the ceremony. The couple chose Caroline Harden Rives of Wilmington as a reader.
Julia Lorentz Stearns Fariss of New York; Emily Pendleton Finch of Washington, D.C.; and Catherine Elizabeth Horney of Raleigh greeted guests. Program Attendants were Sarah Katherine Barbour, Ellison Ruth Beaver, Olivia Rutledge Beaver and Harold Stuart Nunn III, all of High Point.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at String and Splinter Club in High Point.
After a wedding trip to the Grenadines, the couple will make their home in Atlanta.
