Shannon Marie Jones of Advance and Bradley Thomas Powell of Olin were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Oct. 6 at Bixby Presbyterian Church in Advance. The Rev. George Newman officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Karen Jones of Advance, and sister of Brad Jones of Advance. She is the granddaughter of Bill and Mildred Holder of Winston-Salem and the late Paul and Lizzie Jones of Advance. She is a 1997 graduate of Davie High School and is employed as a pharmacy technician at CVS Pharmacy in Clemmons.
The groom is the son of Thomas “Pete” and Diane Powell of Harmony, and the grandson of Floyd and Violet Marlowe of Courtney and Marie Powell and the late Paul Powell of Harmony. He is a 1993 graduate of North Iredell High School and earned a diploma in automotive body repair in 1994 from Wilkes Community College. He is employed with Black’s Collision Repair in Statesville.
