Moon-Mathias Couple Married

Carol Michele Moon and John William Mathias were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 27 at Triad Park in Kernersville. The Rev Thomas Corbell of Statesville performed the ceremony.  
The bride is a 1993 graduate of Davie County High School and a 2007 of High Point University. She is the daughter of Inez Bolin Moon of Mocksville and the late Luther Donald Moon.  
The groom is a 1983 graduate of Lexington High School in Lexington, S.C., a 1988 graduate of Lander University, and obtained a master’s degree from SC State University in 1995. He is working on a MBA from UNCG. He is self-employed at Mathias Appraisal Service in Winston-Salem. He is the son of William and Carolyn Mathias of Lexington, S.C.  
The bride was escorted by her brother Jimmy Moon of Mocksville. The bride chose her sister Vicky Hudson of Advance as her matron of honor and her sister Janet Moon of Mocksville as her maid of honor. Other bridesmaids included her niece Amanda Moon of Granite Quarry and friend Kristin Brady of Greensboro.  
The groom chose his father William Mathias as the best man. Other groomsmen included his cousin Robert Waples of Roswell, Ga.; his nephew Todd Cleary of Lexington, S.C.; and friend Joel Radatz of High Point.
