Turner-Brown Couple United In Marriage

Victoria Turner of Statesville and Steve Allen Brown of China Grove were united in marriage at 2 p.m. on Nov. 26, 2011 by the Rev. Marcus Farmer and Bishop A.W. Brown at Landmark Church of God in Statesville.
The bride is the daughter of the late Thomasene Gaither and Fredrick Grant. She is a graduate of North Iredell High School and is employed by the Department of Social Services.
The groom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carlee Brown. He is a graduate of South Rowan High School and is employed by Heritage Transport.
Given in marriage by her uncle, Henry Grant, and brother, Patrick Staney Turner, the bride chose Janet Waddell as her maid of honor and Meshelle Keys and Stephanie Redmon as her matrons of honor.
Bridesmaids were Cheryl Barker, Kathy Cockerham and Sonia Scott. Junior bridesmaid was Anastasia Miller, and honorary bridesmaid was Barbara Morris.
Velvie Lee Gray was the groom’s best man. Groomsmen were Darron Carr, Clarence Gray, Clyde Parks, Kenny Turner and Vess Wiseman. Ushers were Kerry D. Tatum and Cedric Turner. Honorary groomsmen were Shirik Gaither and Elijah Easton.
Flower girls were Jamaia Clement and Sidney Stroud, and ring bearer was Chaslon Gaither.
Honorary guests were Eloise Cockerham, aunt of the bride, and Evangelist Christine Cornelius, aunt of the groom. Special friends included Darlyn Rivers, Sharon Redmond, and Wilma Steele.
