By Jackie Seabolt – The Davie Early College teacher arrested in January for exposing himself to a 15-year-old boy at a High Point bookstore pleaded guilty to the charge last week.
On Jan. 22, Eric Jason Reeder, 34, of High Point was arrested by High Point Police Department for indecent exposure and taking liberties with a child.
Those charges stemmed from an incident at the Barnes & Noble on Eastchester Drive where a 15-year-old was in the bathroom washing his hands and claimed Reeder exposed himself.
Last week in Guilford County Superior Court Reeder pleaded guilty to indecent exposure, and had the taking liberties with a child charge dismissed.
He was sentenced to 6-8 months, suspended 36 months, ordered to register as a sex offender, and ordered to stay away from all bookstores.
Reeder was also arrested January 21 and charged with secret peeping.
According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, a juvenile reported a male was peeping in the bathroom stall at the Barnes & Noble at 1925 Hampton Court on Jan. 13 … subscribe to the Davie County Enterprise, P.O. Box 4639, Salisbury, N.C. 28145.
