Sheffield-Calahaln: Guest preacher, musician to be at Community Covenant on Sunday

Blake Cassidy will be at Community Covenant Church at the 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. services this Sunday. Blake is an outstanding preacher, singer and guitarist. There will be a carry-in meal at noon. Everyone is invited.
The Rev. Harold Taylor, Global Missions Coordinator for the International Conservative Holiness Association, will speak at Community Covenant on Sunday, March 23 at 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Everyone is invited.
Worship service and Junior church class for children is held each Sunday at 10:45 at Community Covenant. Evangelistic service is on Sundays at 6 and Prayer meeting and Bible study is on Wednesdays at 7.
A time of prayer is held at Liberty Wesleyan Church each Sunday at 9:30 a.m., followed by Sunday School at 10 and Worship at 11. Choir practice is each Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Hotdog Saturday at New Union is ready to serve up those great hotdogs on March 22 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the church parking lot. In addition to the hotdogs, there will be a bake sale and RADA cutlery and crafts for sale. Also, we will have the peanut butter eggs and coconut eggs for sale. The church is at County Line and Sheffield roads. Look forward to seeing you on the 29th.
New Union welcomes everyone to Sunday School at 9 a.m. and worship service at 10 each week. Pastor Tim Lowery invites you to these services. The Kids and Youth ministry is held each Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Sunday School at Ijames Baptist Church is a 9:30 a.m., followed by the worship service at 10:30. Pastor Kestler Ruth invites you each week. Children’s Choir practice is at 4:30 p.m. on Sundays and TeamKIDS, Youth and the Adult Bible Study will meet at 5 each Sunday. A Men’s Bible Study is held each Wednesday at 7 p.m. All men are welcome. Ijames recently sent a special offering to Western NC to aid in building bridges. The annual Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American missions will be collected during March.
Center Fire Department is looking for volunteers to help serve the community. If interested in being a volunteer firefighter, stop by the station at 2265 US 64 West any Thursday night at 7 or call 336-492-7649.
Pastor Jesse Teal invites everyone to Center Methodist Church for the breakfast fundraiser the third Saturday of each month from 7-10 a.m. It is a great time of fellowship.
Wesley Chapel UMC invites everyone to a breakfast fundraiser on the 3rd Saturday of each month.
Jam sessions are held each week on Mondays at Eddie’s Place in Cool Springs from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
The Farmington Community Center Schoolhouse Music Jam sessions are held the 1st, 2nd and 4th Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. with a potluck served at 6. Admission is $3 with musicians and singers getting in free. On the third Thursday Bluegrass Church is held at Eaton Baptist.
