Kay Potts Garza, 70, of Mocksville, died Sunday, March 9, 2025 at her home.
She was born June 10, 1954 in Iredell County to the late Paul James and Glania Dars Tayes Potts.
Kay was “Nana Kay” to all who knew her. She loved flowers, birds, and shopping.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: a son, Christopher Dixon; and siblings, Dale Potts, Jeff Potts, Karen Potts, and Terry Potts.
Survivors include: her children, Mark Dixon, and LaTonya Hernandez (Alfredo); siblings, Jimmy Potts (Sissy), Kathy Roberts (Donny), Dora Robertson (Keith), Bobby Potts (Laura), and Michael Potts; grandchildren, Joey Lusk, Alicia Lusk, Shawn Daniels (Megan), Rogelio Peralta, Leslie Peralta, Anthony Dixon, Marissa Peralta, Stefani Hernandez, and David Hernandez; great-granddaughter, Katharina Reyes; sisters-in-law, Sherry Potts, and Zana Potts; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, March 14 at Lambert Funeral Chapel, with Father Daniel Wall officiating, interment will follow in Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family invitedfriends to visit with them from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, March 13 at Lambert Funeral Home.
