Thursday hotdog lunch to benefit family in fire loss

Buy a hotdog for a good cause today. The Davie Sheriff’s Office will be selling hotdogs from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the parking lot of the old police station on North Main Street in Downtown Mocksville.

Proceeds will benefit the Whittington family. The home of the parents of three officers was severely damaged in a fire on Easter.

Clay Whittington, a patrol deputy, has been working for the sheriff;s office since Dec. 1, 2017.

Sterling Whittington, a patrol officer, began working for the sheriff on Feb. 4, 2020.

Hannah Whittington began working for the sheriff’s office on Feb. 1, 2016.  She started on patrol and then was promoted to sergeant.  Hannah is sergeant over CID and works with the DragonFly house on children that have been sexually abused.
