The Clarksbury United Methodist Youth are sponsoring a “Parents’ Night Out” from 5-8 Saturday, Feb. 18 in the fellowship hall. Parents, enjoy some personal time out while your kids enjoy Christian fun time with adult superviision.  Donations for youth projects will be accepted.

The Young at Heart of Society Baptist will meet at 11:30 a.m Tuesday, Feb. 21 in the fellowship hall.  The group invites other senior citizens.

The shawl ministry of Calvary Baptist will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21. The group invites others interested in crocheting.

The quilt ministry of Society Baptist will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22 in the fellowship hall.  The group invites others interested in quilting.

Clarksbury United Methodist Church will have an “Ash Wednesday” service at 6 p.m. this Wednesday.

Remember the 12-session Bible study hosted by Clarksbury United Methodist and led by Angie Revels at 6 p.m. on Sundays in the fellowship hall.  The title of the Bible study is “Twelve Women of the Bible – Life-Changing Stories for Women Today.” The third session  is Sunday, Feb. 19.  Everyone is invited.

Our community sends get-well wishes to Dorman Beck, who suffered stroke symptoms last Saturday and has been at Iredell Memorial Hospital.  Darlyn H. Rivers remains in rehab at Novant Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Winston-Salem. Alice C. Waugh remains in rehab at Davie Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Mocksville.

Join us in prayer for the Lord’s divine healing upon Dorman, Darlyn, Alice, and other residents who are having health problems.  Remember in prayer the family of Jimmy Goodwin, who died last week; he was the brother of Louella Barnhardt and LaVonne Gryder and son of the late Boyd and Bondelia Goodwin. Continue to remember in prayer the families affected by the magnitude 7.8 and 7.7 earthquakes that occurred in Turkey and Syria as the death toll was over 37,000 as of last Monday plus thousands injured.
