Christmas Open House at Poplar Springs School was a hit on Saturday.  Vauda and Renee look forward to seeing visitors this Saturday 9 a.m.-2 p.m.  There’s a variety of unique craft, vintage and repurposed items, as well as Vauda’s vegetable soup, sourdough rolls and other baked goods. Poplar Springs is at 660 Ijames Church Road (between US 601 N. and Sheffield Road).

New Union’s kids and youth will present a Christmas program Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 6:30 p.m.  There will be a Christmas Eve service at New Union at 6:30 p.m.  There will only be a worship service at 10 a.m. on Christmas Day.

Ijames Baptist is taking donations for the Lottie Moon Foreign Missions during December.

There will be an outdoor service “Christmas Eve at the Crossroads” at Ijames Baptist on Dec. 24 at 6:30 p.m. The Christmas Day worship service will be at 10 a.m. and there will be no Sunday School.

Liberty Wesleyan is collecting canned food for Matthew 25.

Liberty Wesleyan’s Family Christmas Celebration will be held this Sunday at 6 pm.  Silent Communion will be December 24 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm

Community Covenant invites you to join them on Sundays at 10:45 am and 6 pm for worship and on Wednesday evenings at 6 pm for Bible study.

Center Volunteer Fire Department is still actively looking for volunteers to help serve the community.  If this is of interest to you, please stop by the station any Thursday evening at 7:00 pm or call 336-492-7649 for more information.

Wesley Chapel UMC is selling TerriLynn nut products again this year. Items available are Pecan pieces and halves, cashews, deluxe mixed nuts, English walnuts, chocolate covered peanuts and chocolate covered raisins. Lanna Pace was surprised with a birthday party at the BoTyme jam on Thursday.  Two of her children living in Florida drove up to surprise her.  A huge crowd was at Farmington to help her celebrate.  Thanks to Julia Pilcher for sharing the information and photos.  BoTyme Country Jubilee is held each week from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm with a mixture of country, bluegrass and gospel music.  Admission is $3.00 at the door, but musicians are admitted free.  Everyone is welcome. Hope to see you this Thursday!   

Each Monday evening from 6:30 – 9:30 pm, there’s a jam session at the Meatlocker on Garden Valley Road off Hwy 64 near Cool Springs.  Eddie Porter welcomes all musicians and singers to this jam session.
