On Thursday, Sept. 28, Davie County Senior Services held their first Senior Games and Special Olympics Cornhole event.

At the start, Senior Services staff taught the Special Olympics participants how to play cornhole, and each person was able to warm up for the fun,

Next, the teams were decided with a Senior Games participant being paired with a Special Olympics participant. The teams cheered each other on when they scored and so much fun was had by everyone. The winners were chosen by the highest number of points from the best two out of three games.

Each Special Olympics participant received a medal for participation. It was a blast, and a fun, new tradition for all.
