Mr. Samuel James Taylor, 29, of McCullough Road, Mocksville, died Saturday, July 23, 2022, at his home.

He was born on March 12, 1993, in Forsyth County, to Elizabeth Foster Goad (Charles) of Mocksville and Jesse Carl “Jay” Taylor of Cooleemee.

Sam enjoyed skateboarding, snowboarding, and especially spending time with his dog. He also enjoyed hockey, was an avid Boston Bruins fan, and had been employed with Badcock Furniture.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Carroll and Missy Foster.

In addition to his parents, survivors include: his sister, Maggie Rabon (Austin) of Mocksville; his step-siblings, Sherry Woolwine and Richard Goad both of Virginia, and Emily Burris, and Stephanie Lozo, both of Rowan County; and his canine companion, Luna.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 28 at Eaton Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Rose Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 27 at the funeral home.
