New Union has a combined worship service at 10 a.m. each Sunday followed by Sunday School at 11.  Pastor Brian Loper welcomes everyone.

VBS “Monumental: Celebrating God’s Greatness” will be at New Union Aug. 7-10 from 6:30-8:30 nightly. More details in upcoming columns.

The next Hotdog Saturday at New Union is July 23 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the church parking lot. There will also be baked goods and RADA cutlery for sale.  Special requests are accepted for the baked items by contacting me via this column.  The church is at Sheffield and County Line roads.

Sunday School is held each week at Ijames Baptist at 9:30 a.m. and the worship service is at 10:30. Pastor Ruth is continuing his messages on the End Times at the 10:30 service. Bible Study on the Book of Daniel is each Sunday evening from 5-6.

Summertime JAM (Jesus and Me) is going on each Sunday from 5-6 p.m. at Ijames Baptist for children, ages 3 years to 5th grade.  Join for Bible stories, crafts, games and snacks. Ijames Baptist welcomes everyone to all services.

Ijames’ Vacation Bible School is July 17-22 from 5:30-8:30 each evening for ages 3 years through 5th grade. A meal will be served each evening from 5:30- 6.  Family Fun Night is July 22 with bounce houses, fun and fellowship. Pre-register by calling 336-492-5265 or by going to Facebook.com/IBCTeamKid.

Community Covenant Church invites you to join them each Sunday for worship at 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m., and prayer and Bible study on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. If you’ve driven up Sheffield Road lately, you may have noticed the new addition to Community Covenant. Pastor Ledford welcomes you to join them for any of the weekly services and see the new growth.

The BoTyme Country Jubilee is still going strong each Thursday evening from 6:30-8:30 at the Farmington Community Center with country, bluegrass and gospel music. Admission is $3 at the door, but musicians are admitted free. There is coffee, drinks and packaged food for purchase. A lot of new musicians were there this past Thursday evening.  Everyone is welcome.

NuHiWay played to a full house at West Rowan Grill on Friday. David Mode and Mode Grass will be performing this Friday.  Thanks to Sue Clark for the photos.

Each Monday evening from 6:30-9:30 p.m., there’s a jam session at the Meatlocker on Garden Valley Road off US 64 west of Mocksville near Cool Springs. Eddie Porter invites you to come out and pick or just sit back and listen to music.  A lot of folks, listeners and musicians, came out to the 4th of July celebration at the jam session and enjoyed a meal of hotdogs and hamburgers, chips and of desserts. A time of prayer is held at Liberty Wesleyan Church each Sunday at 9:30 a.m., followed by Sunday School at 10 and Worship at 11. Everyone is welcome.

Bible Camp will be held each Friday evening in August from 6-8 at Liberty Wesleyan Church, open to ages kindergarten-5th grade.  To register, call 336-492-3000.
