The Davie County Democratic Party held a leadership dinner at the Bermuda Run Country Club ballroom on Friday, April 29.

Featured speakers included N.C. Attorney General Josh Stein, US Senate Candidate Cheri Beasley, and Forsyth County Sheriff Bobby Kimbrough. The Honorable Denise S. Hartsfield was the evening’s emcee.

Approximately 150 guests from Davie and adjacent counties attended.

The evening began with a social hour and was followed by an invocation by the Rev. Kelly H. Moore of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, speakers, dinner, and a silent auction of donated services and items. The evening’s music was provided by Keith Byrd. All funds raised will provide support for the Davie County Democratic Party.

“Our leadership dinner is an opportunity to showcase the Democratic Party as an inclusive party in order to build back a better America,” said Dr. Erma Jefferies, chair of the Davie County Democratic Party. “We were excited to welcome our featured guests and emcee to Davie County, educate fellow Democrats and Independent voters about our platform, and encourage Davie County residents to become involved in local party politics. Together we can make a difference.”

Additional speakers included: US Senate Candidate Constance L. Johnson, 5th District Congressional Candidate Kyle Parrish, NC State Senator Paul Lowe, 8th District Congressional Candidate Scott Huffman, Mocksville Town Board Candidate Jenny Stevenson, NC Democratic Party Chair Bobbie Richardson, and US Senate Candidate B.K.
