Clarence Lloyd Hawks, 73, of Mt. Airy, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2021.
He was born Aug. 1, 1948 in Surry County to the late Carroll Gray Hawks Sr. and Christine Walker Hawks. He was a member of Lambsburg Missionary Baptist Church. Clarence was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He had worked for McLean Trucking and American Audit.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Gray Hawks Jr.
Survivors: a daughter, Shanna Hawks Stoltz (Ethan); a granddaughter, Ava Lane Stoltz; brother, Ronald W. Hawks Sr. (Salena); special niece, Amanda Lukas (Roger); nephews, Andrew Hawks and Ronald W. Hawks Jr.; and the love of his life, Brenda Bailey.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 13 at Lambsburg Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor Israel Easter officiating. The church is located at 257 Chestnut Grove Road, Lambsburg, VA 24351.
