Judith ‘Maxcine’ Stevenson

Judith “Maxcine” Stevenson, 75, of Mocksville, died on Oct. 13, 2021 from Wake Baptist Medical Center in Forsyth County.
She was born on Feb. 20, 1946 in Guilford County, daughter of the late Atlas David Stevenson and Emma Lee (Lindsay) Stevenson. She was also preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Allen and Glenn Stevenson; 3 sisters, Alease Hayes, Mary Wagner, Joanne Stevenson; and 2 nieces, Nakiesha Johnson and Glenda Stevenson.
She attended schools in North Carolina, and earned her GED at a community college. She worked was a nursing assistant and a fire sprinkler manufacturer. Shee attended at Mt. Zion CME of Salisbury, and was a simple woman who loved to read, especially her Bible, and solve crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors: a son, David Stevenson of Mocksville; 3 sisters, Phyllis Stevenson of Lexington, Emma White of Mocksville, and Eugenia Ijames of Mocksville; 2 grandchildren, Onesha Stevenson and Shanice Graham; 7 great-grandchildren, Andrew Johnson, Harmony and Jordan Graham, Davion, Trinitee, Tarez, and Tariqh; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A visitation for Maxcine was held on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 1-2 p.m. at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville, followed by the funeral at 2, officiated by the Rev. Charles Walker.
