Anthony Ray “Tony” Allison, 57, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

He was born July 31, 1964 in Davie County to Margaret Lee Booe Allison and the late Kermit Ray Allison. He had worked for Pet Dairy in Winston-Salem. He was a hard worker, and was kind, loving, caring, and protective. He was quiet but a good listener and when he talked it was meaningful. He was a good papaw who loved his grandchildren. He didn’t smile a lot but they made him smile. He also had a creative side that most people would not expect: he made jewelry, grew spices in his garden, made walking sticks, and dabbled in painting.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Paige.

Survivors: his mother; his wife, Dawn Marie Rust Allison; children, Aaron Allison (Jessica) and Jessica Smyres, all of Mocksville; stepchildren, Patricia Harville (Greg) of Princeton, Texas, Jessica Beyenhof (Graham) of Dennison, Texas, Rachel Beyenhof of Champlain, Minn., and Dana Beyenhof (Lindsey) of Roseburg, Ore.; siblings, James Edward Allison and Nannette Allison Brown, both of Mocksville; and grandchildren, Lillian, Abigail, Jewell, Corbi, Everly, Hazel, Oliver, Korbyn, and Alora.
