Anslo M. Fowler Sr. died on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice.

He was born Sept. 24, 1939 in Davie County, son of the late Samuel and Willie Mae Neely Fowler. He attended Davie County Schools. At an early age he joined Friendship Baptist Church. He retired from Ingersoll-Rand.

He was also preceded in death by: a brother, James Fowler Sr. and 2 sisters, Selma Mosley and Virginia Hogue.

Survivors: his wife, Lola Pruitt Fowler; 2 sons, Anslo M. Fowler Jr. and Aaron (Robin) Fowler; a sister, Evelyn Patterson; 8 grandchildre; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service was to be Wednesday, April 21 at 2 p.m. at Roberts Chapel in Mocksville. Burial was to follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.  Public viewing was Tuesday from 1-6 p.m. at Roberts Chapel in Mocksville.
