Mocksville’s Board of Commissioners appointed Kenneth Gamble, town manager of Denton, as its town manager.

Gamble has served as town manager in Denton for two years, and previously as town manager of Stoneville for five years. He also served in Kernersville as a law enforcement officer for 19 years with the last 3 ½ years of his tenure as chief of police.

He is a 2004 graduate of Guilford College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and received his master’s degree in public administration from Appalachian State University in 2010. He is also a 2011 graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Va.

“Kenneth Gamble brings several years of managerial experience to the table and will be an asset to Mocksville for years to come,” said Mayor Will Marklin. “We look forward to working with him in determining the future needs of our town while improving the quality of life for its citizens.”

“I am honored and humbled to have the opportunity to serve as the town manager for Mocksville,” Gamble said. “I will work closely with the community, employees, leadership team and board of commissioners to keep Mocksville moving in a positive direction.  On behalf of my family, we are all excited to become part of such a welcoming and engaging community.”

Gamble’s first day of employment is Monday, May 3.  His appointment was unanimously approved.
