Covid vaccines Wednesdays, Fridays; testing moving to EMS headquarters

Today (Friday, January 15th), the drive-thru COVID-19 vaccine clinic will be held at the Davie Community Park (former site of Davie County High School) at 151 Southwood Drive from 10 am to 2 pm.  Going forward, COVID-19 clinics will be held at the Park every Friday (weather permitting) and will run from 10 AM to 2 PM. Beginning on Wednesday, January 20th, the vaccine clinic will also begin operating on Wednesdays each week from 1 PM to 4:30 PM.

Regarding Traffic Flow
Vaccine traffic will be routed at the stoplight onto Southwood Drive and into the parking lot, from either direction on Highway 601.  Please note that traffic will be directed by law enforcement–early admission will not be allowed.

Vaccine Eligibility
Today, frontline healthcare workers (1a) and individuals 75 years of age and older (1b, Group 1) will be eligible. Vaccine paperwork is available online athttps://www.daviecountync.gov/DocumentCenter/View/11028/New-CVMS-Recipient-Registration-Form and will also be available at the clinic site.

Eligibility Updates
Announcements about who is eligible for each clinic will be provided atwww.DavieCountyNC.gov or by calling 336-753-6540 after 3 PM on Mondays.

New Testing Location

COVID testing will be moving to the parking lot at EMS, located 114 Dr. Slate Drive in Mocksville beginning January 19th. Hours will be 10 AM to 5 PM Monday through Saturday. Individuals who wish to be tested should enter from Hospital Street, using the parking lot entrance closest to the Davie County Health Department.
