Sheffield-Calahaln VFD meetings are held each Monday night at the station at 7.  If interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter, come to the meetings or see any member of the department.  We look forward to having more community involvement.

Lots happening at Liberty Wesleyan Church.  Worship is each Sunday at 10 a.m. and Bible Study at 10 a.m. each Saturday. You can also hear the message each week on Facebook.  On Friday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m., the movie “I Can Only Imagine” will be shown outdoors, with a rain date of Oct. 9.  drive-thru trunk or treat will be held Saturday, Oct. 17 from 5-8 p.m.

Ijames Baptist Church will continue to hold outside worship services each Sunday morning at 9. In the event of rain, services will be drive in. Please join us for worship with Pastor Robert Jackson.

New Union UMC will continue to hold worship services each Sunday morning at 9 in the parking lot.  You can also view these services on Facebook live.

Kid’s Power Hour at New Union UMC is at 6:30 p.m. and the Youth Group will meet at 6 p.m. each Wednesday. Hope you can join us for an evening of fun, fellowship and learning more about Jesus through scripture, stories and song.  New Union is at Sheffield and County Line roads.

Gunter’s Wing Shack, near Sheffield Road and NC 901, opened Monday, Sept. 28 for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tina Gunter and Devon Parks are  excited to have a second location, but stats you can still get those wings at Gunter’s Country Store. It is wonderful seeing new stores and restaurants opening. Please go by and support local businesses.
