Mr. James David Barker, 50, of County Line Road, Harmony, died Friday, Sept. 18, 2020 at Maple Leaf Health Care in Statesville.

He was born on Nov. 16, 1969 in Chester County, Pa. to the late Fred and Polly Barker Foster. He worked in the automotive industry and was a gifted mechanic who loved working with his hands. Known for loving cars and being a movie buff, his friends knew him as a man full of wit who always made you laugh.

Survivors: a daughter, Megan Barker; a sister, Cheryl Dozier (Mike) of Cumming, Ga.; nephew and nieces, M.A. Dozier (Chelsea), Havilah Griffin (Beau) and Abi Dozier and their children; his stepfather, Bow Foster of Mocksville; and numerous cousins.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, on the grounds of Calvary Baptist Church, Davie Academy Road, Mocksville.
