Mrs. Nancy Jane Bailey Myers, 78, of Joe Myers Road, dvance, died at her home on Thursday, April 30, 2020.

Mrs. Myers was born on April 4, 1942, in Forsyth County to the late Noah Baxter and Mary Jane Waller Bailey. Mrs. Myers enjoyed watching birds, good coffee, Vienna sausages, doing crafts, and country music, especially George Jones. She was a hard-worker and loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Myers always kept a jar of pickles in the fridge for times when her grandkids would visit.  She will be remembered as a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and will be missed by many.

She was also preceded by: a husband of 33 years, Joe Henry Myers; 3 brothers, Jack Bailey, Louis Bailey, and Johnny Bailey; and 4 sisters, Rosie Vernon, Annie James, Dorothy Bailey, and Peggy Bailey.

Survivors: 8 children, Billy Ray Myers (Nancy) of Advance, Brenda Kay Gahagan (Mike) of Spartanburg, S.C., Bobbie Jo Spears of Advance, Bonnie Sue “Susie” Palmer of Sparta, Bailey Lee Myers of Advance, Barbara Jane Myers Rutherford of Mocksville, Betty May Shultz (James) and Burr Baxter Myers (Tina) of Advance; 16 grandchildren, Dustin Adkins, Christopher Adkins, Michelle Allen, Jamie Norman, Kelly Snapp, Jesse Dean Spears, Robert Allen Spears, Jacob Dean Hicks, Christopher Henry Spears, Kristy Sheets, Ethan Craver, Zachary Palmer, Michael David Rutherford, Brittney Carpenter, Joseph Myers, Aubrey Myers, and Aaron Myers; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Monday, May 4 at Eaton Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Will Pryor officiating.  Burial will follow in Bixby Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
