Charles Dennis “Cookie” Turner Jr., 60, died in his home on April 14, 2020 in Woodleaf.

He was born Oct. 4, 1959, in Middle Sex Co., N.J., the son of Charles Dennis Turner Sr. and Verna Ridenhour Turner.

He is preceded in death by: his wife, Diana Lynn (Meadows) Turner; a brother, Mathew Turner; and a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Baker Turner.

He graduated from West Rowan High School, class of 1977. He attended Cab Community College and graduated in 2012. He worked in retail sales as a clerk for ABC Florida. He attended the Woodleaf Baptist Church.

Survivors: a son, Charles Dennis Turner III of Woodleaf; brothers, Stanley Turner (Shirley) of Egg Harbor, N.J., Richard Turner of Salisbury; sisters, Marie Parnell of Winston-Salem, Wanda Michaels of Mocksville; and grandchildren Sean Turner and Madison Turner.

The family will have a private service.
