Anthony “Gerald” Watson, 63, of Davie County died in his home on Sunday, March 1, 2020.

He was born to parents Bennis and Jo Ann on Oct. 19, 1956 in Mecklenburg County. He grew up as the eldest of four boys and attended Parkland High School in Winston-Salem. He owned his own construction company for 45 years. His favorite pasttimes were spent outdoors hunting, fishing and spending time with friends and family at his cabin in West Jefferson.

Survivors: his oldest son Wesley and wife Bridgett and their children Destiny, Carter, Taylor, Josie, Tate, and Tanden; as well as his youngest son Tommy and wife Tiffany and their son James; and brothers, Benny, Louie and Keith.

A celebration of his life will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday March 5 at Davie Baptist Church on Fork Bixby Road, Advance.
