Davie High School Band Boosters will operate a Dewey’s Bakery fundraising store in Mocksville for the holiday season. The store will be open at 67 Court Square until Dec. 24, open Sundays from noon-6 p.m. and Monday-Thursday 11 a.m.-6 p.m. throughout the season. Friday and Saturday hours during November will be 11 a.m.-7 p.m., and during December will be 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

A portion of proceeds from each sale will go to the Davie High Band Boosters to help the program purchase instruments.

“We’re excited to partner with Dewey’s Bakery to accomplish our goals this year, and we want to encourage everyone to stop by for their holiday shopping,” said Chris Smith, president of the booster club. “The money we raise is critical to the success of the band program by ensuring there are enough instruments, and the right kind of instruments for our student musicians who aspire to excellence in all that they do.”

Items include Dewey’s Moravian Cookie gift tins, Moravian Sugar Cake, savory Cheese Straws and more. Moravian Cookie flavors include Ginger Spice, Classic Sugar, Chocolate Dipped Mint and many others.
