Mr.Ricky Wayne Spry, 63, of Kannapolis, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

He was born June 13, 1956 in Rowan County to Roy Vestal Spry Jr. and Mildred Frye Spry. He was a member of Turrentine Baptist Church in Mocksville and had worked at Cannon Mills.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shelby Wensil and her husband, Allen, and his great niece, Michaela Draughn.

Survivors: his companion, Pamela Boatwright; siblings, Brenda Draughn (Ervin), Pat Cleary (Charlie), Sharon Bartlett (Edward) and Cindy Swisher (Dwayne); nephews, Chris Wensil (Christa), Michael Draughn (Teresa) and Zackary Bartlett; nieces, Keri Brandon (Bryan), Rebecca Wiles (Dan), Bronwyn Bartlett, Lindsey Bartlett, Brandi Swisher; great-nieces and nephews, Jesse Draughn (Autumn), Graham Wiles, Drake Brandon, Peyton Correll and Shelby Wensil.

A funeral service was to be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at Turrentine Baptist Church with the Revs. Fred Carlton and Joe Smith officiating. Burial was to follow in the church cemetery. The family was to receive friends from noon-2 p.m. at the church.
