Town of Mocksville

Kick-off the Halloween season by bringing your friends and family to Downtown Mocksville for a free outdoor showing of Frankenweenie on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. at Mocksville Downtown Park on Main Street.

Young Victor Frankenstein (Charlie Tahan) is a science nerd and outsider at school, but he does have one good friend: his dog, Sparky. But then, tragedy strikes and Sparky shuffles off this mortal coil. Victor is heartbroken, but his science teacher (Martin Landau) gives him an idea of how to jolt old Sparky back to life. The experiment is successful, and all goes well until Victor’s fellow students steal his secret and use it to resurrect other dead animals — with monstrous consequences.

The movie is rated PG and is 1 hour and 3 minutes long.

A parent or guardian is required to stay with children during the movie.

Frankenweenie is the final movie the Davie County Library and the Town of Mocksville will be hosting at the park this year.

Bring a chair or a blanket for seating.  Snacks are welcome.
