Did you know that there are great job opportunities available in your own backyard?

Whether you are looking for your first job or ready for a career change, come out and meet your future as DCCC – The College of Davidson and Davie Counties, in partnership with Davie CONNECT and the Davie County Chamber of Commerce, hosts a community-wide job fair on Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. -1 p.m. at the Davie Campus at 1205 Salisbury St., Mocksville, in the community building. This job fair is open to the public as well as students.

Attend the job fair to explore career options in a variety of industries. Bring your resume, your optimism, and questions.

This event brings together more than 30 Davie employers representing a wide range of professions and industries. Career options will be available in healthcare, advanced manufacturing, business, IT, education and more.

Talk with representatives from Accordian Health – Salisbury, Ashley Furniture, Avgol, Bayada Home Health, Cardinal Innovations Healthcare, Census 2020, Concordance Healthcare Solutions, County of Davie, Davie County Schools, DCCC Human Resources, Debbie’s Staffing, Dunlop Aircraft Tyres, Egger Wood Products, First Choice Personnel, Gildan, Home Instead Senior Care, Ingersoll Rand, IntelliChoice Home Care, Jockey International, NCWorks, Piedmont Dialysis Center, Pine Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center, Quality Oil Company, Ranstad, REEB, The Resource, UPS, Waffle House, Wake Forest Baptist Health, WFBH Davie Medical Center, and Zaxby’s – Bermuda Run.

Job seekers aren’t the only ones who can benefit. “This job fair demonstrates the deepening relationship between our Davie County business community and the community college and offers our businesses a wonderful direct recruiting opportunity,” said Carolyn McManamy, director of Davie CONNECT.

The event will also feature the Mobile Career Center from the Piedmont Triad Regional Council. The center is available to job fair participants prior to entering the fair. Career counselors will be on hand to help job seekers enhance and print out resumes on the spot at no cost.

The fair will also include representatives from the DCCC admissions office and continuing education. Participants will be able to discuss academic and career pathways offered at the college, explore short-term programs and upcoming continuing education courses and ask questions about the admission and enrollment process.
