Mrs. Amelia Frances Wilson, 57, of Mocksville, died on Friday, Oct. 4, 201, while a resident of Davie Nursing & Rehabilitation.

She was born Sept. 13, 1962 to the late Benjamin Franklin and Mary Selene Wilson. Known to most as Frances, she was educated in Davie County Schools. She loved fashion, traveling and meeting people. She had worked last at Burger King before becoming disabled. She helped with childcare and babysitting her nieces and nephews. She had recently celebrated her 57th birthday with her family. She was happy to have everyone there at the same time, sharing food, conversation and love. Everyone enjoyed the time spent, as it had been a long time since everyone had been together as a family.

She was also preceded in death by: 4 siblings, Mary C. Wilson, Jonathan F. Wilson, Willie L. Wilson-Fowler and Audrey M. Wilson; and 2 nephews, Roland V.L. Fowler and William Jonathan L. Fowler.

Survivors: a daughter, Dorian J. Wilson of New Orleans; 4 brothers, David “Tree Top” Peck, Terence F. Wilson (Tanja), all of Statesville, Ronald E. Wilson of Mocksville and Bryant A. Wilson (Johnsie) of Cooleemee; a sister, Dora Wilson Hearn of Statesville; an uncle, Lonnie Wilson of Kernersville; 2 aunts, Mary L. Bines of Statesville and Mildred Phifer of Mocksville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, Oct. 10 at Graham Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. The Rev. Rodney Barker will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service.
