Arnold Thomas Hamilton, 86, of Spencer, died on Sept. 24 at the Glenn Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury.

He was born Aug. 26, 1933 in Rowan County, a son to the late Buster C. Hamilton and Nancy Cline Hamilton. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Fred Hamilton, and his sister, Lucille Barbee.

He worked at the Herndon Furniture Factory and was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors: caregiver and friend, Susan Morris.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m. at Rowan Memorial Park in Salisbury.
