Four local teens were arrested on drug charges Aug. 23 after officers with the Davie County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 1115 Daniel Road Mocksville.

During a search of the residence, officers located more than 60 grams of marijuana, 21 THC oil cartridges, three firearms, multiple scales and smoking devices.

The following, all age 18  with the Daniel Road address, were charged:

• Tasaun Laprynce Martin was charged with felony maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia (marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia (non-marijuana).

• Elijah Nathaniel Joyner was charged with felony maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia (marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia (non-marijuana)

• Colby Ashton Shore was charged with felony maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia (non-marijuana)

• Peyton Lee Johnson was charged with felony maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia (marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia (non-marijuana)

“During the investigation officers noted that the sellers of narcotics are frequently using the cell phone app ‘snapchat’ to advertise their business to people due to messages being deleted after being viewed,” said Sheriff J.D. Hartman.
“This has become a popular method of advertising amongst younger sellers and users so parents need to be aware of how popular apps are being used for illegal purposes.”

A user of narcotics was transported to the hospital after having a medical emergency due to an adverse reaction with the narcotics that were ingested.
