Sherry Kay Summers, 67, of Mocksville died on May 24, 2019 in Winston-Salem with her family by her side.

She was born Oct. 7, 1951 in Boone County, W.Va., a daughter to the late Beatrice Miller. She attended schools in Dunbar, W.Va. and in 1974 married Keith Edward Summers.

She was preceded in death by her mother and one brother, Larry Lucas.

She worked for Baker Furniture. She attended Trinity Baptist Church and loved to dance and sing to her oldies. She put others before herself and was eager to take care of her loved ones in their time of need.

Survivors: her husband of 45 years, Keith Summers; sons, David A. Summers (Sheryl) of Hope Mills, David W. Summers of Haymarket, Va. and Allan W. Summers of Mocksville; daughters, Lori A. Mercer (Mike) of Mentor, Ohio and Brooke Summers of Mocksville; brother, Robert Lucas (Lisa) of Yadkinville; sister, Lynn Harrison (Cricket) of Mocksville; grandchildren, Zachary, Adam, Brianna, Mikey, Nicholas, Joshua and Madison; and one great-grandchild, Kinslee.

No public funeral services are scheduled.
