Mrs. Nancy Hartman McKnight, 80, of Mocksville, died on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

She was born Aug. 3, 1938 in Forsyth County to Robert Gray and Pearl Griffith Hartman. She retired from Wachovia Bank after 42 years.

Surviving: her husband, Harold Gray McKnight; a daughter, Sherry Smith of Advance; a granddaughter, Shannon Bolton and husband Joel of Huntersville; 2 great grandchildren, Ellie and Clark Bolton; a step-daughter, Laura Darnell and husband Ralph of Mocksville; 2 step-grandchildren, James Carter Jr. and Nicki Atkinson; 3 step-great-grandchildren, Micah and Carly Carter and Rayne Atkinson.

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 20, at Advance United Methodist Church with the Revs. Larry Thompson and Cheryl Skinner officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.  The family receive dfriends one hour prior to the service.
